I just realized that I have so many DVDs that I haven’t watched yet. I think the holidays present a perfect opportunity to actually get started on them.
Some movies I intend to watch during the holidays:
Most of them are films starring Greta Garbo, with the exception of Gaslight, which stars Charles Boyer and Ingrid Bergman.
I still have quite a few other sealed DVDs that need unsealing, but the ones above will have to do for now. I might need acne treatments if I go on a really long movie marathon.
I’ve been wanting to watch The Philadelphia Story! I didn’t even know Anna Karenina has been turned into a movie…
I really wanna watch A Streetcar Named Desire (with Marlon Brando, Vivien Leigh and Kim Hunter) this winter break.
Felisa I was about to get a DVD of that for around P200 (cheap, but it was viewed once and the owner kept it in good condition)! But someone beat me to it.
There are actually two versions of Anna Karenina. One is the 1935 version starring Greta Garbo. That’s the one I have.
There’s also a 1948 version starring Vivien Leigh.
bloghopping.. It’s really nice to have a movie marathon during the holiday.
make sure you’re covered with popcorn!
I loved Camille and Ninotchka! I love Greta! I didn’t see Anna Karenina with her though, only the one with Vivien. Both actresses are my favorite.
The Philadelphia Story is quite funny in my opinion. I think you’re gonna like it.
I’ve never heard of those movies before. Not familiar with them, sorry. I’m fond of those movies though so I might check them out
Thanks for sharing!
I might watch my Black Christmas DVD again soon. I love that movie, and it’s perfect since it’s Christmas themed and a horror movie.
Just my cup of tea.
Ah these are definitely not your average type of Holiday movies which means I’ll probably love them. Thanks for the suggestions
I haven’t watched any recent movies in a while. Perhaps during the holidays I will do so. I’ve never seen any of the movies on your list. Thanks for sharing them. =)
I’ve been catching up on movies recently! They’re old movies, though — the last one I watched this afternoon was Penelope — a movie I hadn’t seen until a friend lent it to me! I’ve definitely be watching a lot more this summer!
I’ll probably end up reading Anna Karenina before watching the movie — it tends to turn out better that way!
Wow those are classic movies. I’ve been watching tuner classic movies on TV. you sure do have a taste for the 40s. Movies now aren’t that good anymore.
