Apparently, the previous entry was not meant to be the year ender.
I just wanted to say that Diventare has gone from PR2 to PR3!
Hurrah!
Happy New Year, my lovelies!

Happy New Year, my lovelies!
This is probably going to be my last entry for the year 2009.
Things haven’t been great at home for the past few days. But I’m sure this will all blow over, even before I decide on the best insurance quote.
Looking back, I’ve been able to accomplish most of my resolutions for 2009. I’m still thinking of what I want to accomplish for next year. I’ll probably try to accomplish the resolutions I didn’t accomplish in 2009, plus a few others.
I hope everyone had a great Christmas! I sure did.
I’m not going to talk about the presents I received. But yeah, I didn’t receive any cigars. Most of them were in the form of cash.
Anyway, we’re a bit busy preparing for our New Year’s Eve dinner, which is in a couple of days. We’re having roast beef, ham, cheese, and a few other dishes I still don’t know about. New Year’s Day will be spent with my grandparents.
Anyway, I’m tired. I had to get a dental x-ray today, and then the bank to send money to our relatives. Later.
I’ve been thinking about the things I need to do to prepare for 2010. I need a new journal since I’ve completely filled my old one, I need to buy new office supplies, since the supplies at home are dwindling a bit. I need to start completing my passport requirements for renewal.
I like how it feels, getting new things for the year. It pretty much intensifies the feeling of a fresh start. I’m looking forward to 2010. I really hope it’s as awesome as I want it to be.
Five days till Christmas. I hope everyone’s ready for the holidays.
I’ve been thinking about getting another health insurance plan. I’ve been looking at NC health insurance, just looking at the benefits they have and comparing them to locally offered health plans.
Anyway, it looks like I’ll be receiving most of the things on my wishlist. My brother is getting me my Moleskine tomorrow, and I’ve gotten most of the books I want. Mom and I went Christmas shopping today. I bought gifts for my friends and as I was about to exit the shop, I saw something I’ve been looking for in a long long time. Venetian masks! It’s really hard to find good Venetian masks here so I decided to buy these ones. I bought two masks, a gold and silver one, and a blue and gold mask. I really wasn’t fond of the pink mask. They cost P350 apiece (about $7).
I’m finally going to start learning how to drive next year when I finally get my passport renewed.
My mom is panicking and thinking where to get the cheapest car insurance, since I’ve been talking about my fear of going out on the highway and accidentally bumping into another vehicle. It’s an irrational fear that I can’t explain.
But anyway, here’s hoping I finally learn how to drive properly and get my license!
I’ve been spending a lot of time with my brother’s girlfriend lately. I remember how much I used to hate her, haha.
Now I’ve taken to teasing both of them (my brother and his girlfriend), asking if they need help choosing wedding invitations. While I’m not really sure how I’d feel if they get married, it really isn’t any of my business. I just like to tease.
I’ve been trying to invite her to stay over at Christmas since I don’t think she has anywhere else to go since her family lives far away.
I’ve gone shopping a couple of times now, for Christmas gifts, but I haven’t gotten anything for my parents yet. I have to admit, most of the time shopping was spent looking at Jack Georges luggage sets, since my own suitcase gave up on me a couple of months back.
So here I am, looking around websites and eBay for a suitable Christmas gift for my mom. It’s a really tough task, since she seems to have everything she needs. Shopping for gifts for the parents seems to be the something I have trouble doing every year.
I’m supposed to be preparing the house for an early Christmas party that I’m hosting tonight. But I’m sitting here thinking about mosaics.
I’ve always wanted to try my hand at making mosaics, but I have to admit I’m not really fond of the ones made out of glass tiles. So I’ve been thinking. Would stainless steel tile make a great option?
To be honest, I really have no idea how to go about it, but I think I’d like to try it if I’m given the chance to complete all the needed materials.
You may have noticed that my sites have been experiencing some downtime for the past few days. This may continue for a few more days since I’m currently in the process of transferring from one host to another.
I might be busy the whole weekend because of a Christmas party (yes, a Christmas party at the beginning of December, aren’t we excited?). I might also pay my dentist a visit, because my wisdom tooth has started bothering me. I hope I’ll be able to get dental discounts.
We’ve started decorating the house, and it isn’t as pretty as it was last year. I guess Ondoy dampened our spirits quite a bit. Our house looks somewhat bare, because our antique piano was taken away to be fixed (our cat raised such a ruckus when he saw the piano being carried out – it’s his favorite sleeping area). I still need to get used to that empty space in the living room.
Update: No more problems, yippee. I’m off to bed now, I have a killer headache.
