The plans

Our house plans are being finalized soon. We already have our exterior perspective. Mom and I have decided to just browse around and look at different kinds of furniture, flooring, paints, and lighting fixtures.

It’s a lot of fun, and I am very excited about the new house. It’s something my parents and I have been making plans about in a long time, and I’m happy that everything is coming to life.

Online shopping

I’ve been looking at wii accessories for the past few hours. I’m not much of a console gamer – I’m more of a PC gamer, but I have to admit that the Wii has a certain charm to it, and if I ever consider switching to console games, I might just choose the Wii over the Xbox and PlayStation.

I’m still sticking to my PC, though. :P

Math tutors

I’ve never been good at Math. When I was in high school and college, I remember hiring tutors to help me with my abysmal math scores.

I was pretty good at Algebra, but with it came to Math problems in word form, I was pretty much hopeless. I had to hire a Math helper to help me maintain my average since I was passing everything with flying colors, except Mathematics.

I’m happy that there are services nowadays that offer tutoring and homework help.

Preparing for the future

I’ve been looking into annuities. I’m only 21, and it’s early, but it’s never too late to consider purchasing an annuity contract for the purpose of securing income even after retirement.

The immediate annuity plan sounds interesting and is definitely something I will consider getting in the future, but there are so many investment types that I think I still need to do more research on this, to be able to make a proper comparison of the benefits that each type will yield.g

Reformat

I did a full reformat of my computer a few days ago. It feels pretty damn great, since everything is running smoothly (anyone want life insurance?). Reinstalling programs is a pain, but something I’d willingly go through periodically just to have a clean machine. Having 2 hard drives helps too, since I don’t have to backup my files in DVD-Rs, which is a hassle when you have about 50GB of files to back up.

Post-birthday

I’m 21. Heh. :D I still feel 18, though. I hope being 21 doesn’t mean I have to worry about things like cheap insurance. I really have a lot of plans for this year, and I hope they all happen.

My birthday was great. I spent the morning here at home, and after lunch, I headed out with my little brother to get frozen yogurt and meet up with our cousins to hang out.

On my birthday night, I went out with my cousins to see a musical-acrobatic show in PAGCOR, where my mom works. It was pretty good, except half the time I had my nails embedded in my cousin’s arm. This was while the acrobats were performing their stunts.

It was a good birthday. Not too overwhelming, not too boring. Just right. :D

Pigging out

Since my fast ended a few days ago, I’ve been pigging out so much, I might end up needing the most effective diet pills in the market. I need to stop eating.

Anyway. It’s my birthday tomorrow! :D I really don’t have anything special planned. I’m just going to wake up, work, see my grandma, and then watch one of my parents’ shows in the city. I don’t really make a big deal of my birthday (usually it’s my parents who end up making a big deal of it).

A TV head

Normally, I don’t watch much TV. I’m usually found reading books, or in front of the computer. But for the next couple of weeks, I’m going to be surgically attached to my TV (no not really).

I want to keep up with the events on the Australian Open, even though I’m not rooting for anyone just yet (what’s a fat burner?). I sure am hoping that my favorite players go far into the tournament.

Australian Open

The Australian Open has started. I’m a little miffed by the fact that Maria Sharapova got booted off the tournament on the first round. But I try to console myself with the fact that she has already won this grand slam in the past. I’m just a little disappointed since I love seeing her play (anybody interested in weight loss pills?).

I don’t know who I’m rooting for this year. Most definitely Novak Djokovic. But on the Women’s Singles tournament, I’m not quite sure. I’ve rooted for Ana Ivanovic in the past, but I seem to end up jinxing her. I guess I have to see how it all pans out before I choose my winner.
