Hi, my name is Lexie and I like stuffed elephants.
I’m the second (middle) child, and only daughter of two successful musicians living in the Philippines. My father is a jazz musician, a saxophonist, and is a frequent performer in local – and sometimes in some of the Asian – jazz festivals. My mother, on the other hand, is a back-up singer and a vocal coach. I’m not an excellentl musician, though I play a bit of guitar. I can sing fairly well (I’m just saying I’m not tone deaf), but I’m not exceptional. My vocal skills are limited to singing karaoke at parties. :D
I have two brothers. We all detest each other – well, not really. We’re all very techie and quite immersed in technology.
I’m a fanatic of old movies, particularly those directed by Hitchcock. My favorite actors and actresses from that era are Gregory Peck, Laurence Olivier, William Holden, Cary Grant, Grace Kelly, Vivien Leigh, Ingrid Bergman, and Audrey Hepburn. I’m a big bookworm. I’ll read almost anything, as long as it’s interesting. I’m a fan of Megan McCafferty, as well as of Daphne Du Maurier.
I’m very interested in photography. It’s one of my biggest hobbies, and one I find myself spending lots of cash on. I have a digital camera, but I’m much more comfortable with the film medium. Old cameras have a certain charm about them. :D I have a Flickr account and a photography blog.
Am I a homebody? Yes, I think I am. Personally, I find a late-night movie marathon with friends much more fun than a night out. Although it does depend on who I’m with.
I’m a Christian, and I have been for a long time. You may find me blogging about my faith and the activities I participate in involving my religion frequently.
I love animals. I have one dog – Chance, a Labrador Retriever – and two cats. Prince is a white and grey cat, and Laszlo is a two month old black kitten.
