I guess I just wasn’t that interested in the nominees. I’d seen The Hurt Locker and thought it was somewhat unrealistic. Inglourious Basterds was fine. I have yet to see An Education and Precious.

Cochlear implants are surgically implanted devices that can provide a sense of sound to a person who is deaf or hard of hearing.

I did a bit of research on it, and found out that while it can be effective, it’s still not for everyone. One factor is the cost, since cochlear implant surgery can be incredibly expensive. It really varies from person to person, since apparently, some people who have received the implant find it effective, while others end up feeling worse.

My mom has gotten hooked on planting wheatgrass and she’s started making everyone at home drink the stuff daily. Let me tell you, the stuff tastes foul. Plus it leaves you nauseous for a while, which isn’t fun.

Yesterday, on the way to a meeting, I was reading about Fort Wayne real estate, when I suddenly felt like throwing up. I never get motion sickness, so I was confused. Turns out, I shouldn’t have eaten right after drinking the stuff since it apparently causes nausea if you eat right after drinking the juice.

On the plus side, though, it has fixed my sleeping habits, and I’m more energetic during the day.

I was able to register for this event yesterday. It was crazy. I had to spend about 2 hours more or less refreshing the registration page. It kept showing a “System Busy” page, since a lot of people were trying to register for the conference as well. Good thing my mom left me her credit card, because by the time I got through the system, she and my dad had already left.

It’s my mom’s birthday tomorrow, so I need to head out in a while to get a birthday gift.

I’m currently downloading the game files and because I have a pretty sucky internet connection, this means I won’t be able to play online until the game finishes installing. It’s currently at 35%. I’m relieved that Steam put the game on sale while my brother’s out of town, since he seems to hog the bandwidth most of time with all his torrent downloads.

While I have to admit that I fell in love with Team Fortress 2’s gameplay, I have more love for Left 4 Dead’s community. I usually don’t feel the need for a mic during Left 4 Dead camps, so I don’t use one. When I play online, I rarely talk to the people I team up with – and that’s how I like it.

In Team Fortress, someone is bound to have a mic, and someone is bound to be a chatterbox. Sometimes along with that trait is an annoying in-game attitude which might make you want to rip the custom mouse pads off your desk so you can bang your head repeatedly on it.

There was one guy who felt the need to discuss President Obama’s shortcomings with the rest of his team while everyone else was trying to capture the flag. There are also guys who feel the need to criticize everyone else’s gameplay. There are the whiny guys who take the game too seriously that losing a round by 1 capture is considered a grave offense.

It’s crazy and, at the same time, admittedly entertaining. If anyone gets too annoying, I mute the noisy players.

I like humidifiers too, since I’m asthmatic. And vacuum cleaners because of my cat allergies (I vacuum my room almost everyday because I have two cats). We seem to have an overload of housewares in storage.

I find it kind of weird. Which is why I’ll probably have to hire a maid service or something when I get my own place. I think I’ll end up being hopeless in this home maintenance thing.

I’m contemplating getting a VPS hosting account so I can host my clients in one server. However, it might make a huge dent on my budget for now, so I guess multiple domain hosting is the best choice for now.

However, I really want a VPS hosting account, since most of the sites I build are e-commerce sites and use up a lot of resources.

I’ve been thinking of getting this game for a while now, but I’m still wondering if it’s worth buying. The graphics seem to be great, and it’s cheaper than best weight loss pills.

I’m sort of hoping that there’s a demo I can test somewhere, so I can see if the game suits me before I buy. My friends have it, but I’m not in the mood to come over and try out the game on their computers.

I guess I’m going to have to do a Youtube search.

I didn’t know that Mika released a new album just five months ago. I’m out of the loop. I checked it out recently, and ended up liking it. I haven’t listened to Mika in years. Sometimes, I think his music is too much for me. Too flamboyant. I would rather read colonix reviews.

I have yet to listen to the whole album, but I really liked one song. Blame It On The Girls is pretty good.
