I took my younger brother shopping for his school uniform today, and we also got him new shoes for school. I can’t believe how much he’s grown this summer. We spent a little over PHP5,000 for all his school stuff, not including his books and supplies. I’ve never known my brother to be so picky. He spent almost two hours choosing the perfect pair of slacks. I swear the sales assistant was getting annoyed, since he kept finding things to complain about. It was almost funny. While he was choosing his stuff, I wandered a bit to look at office furniture. By the time we were done with his shopping, I was just about ready to commit hara kiri with a plastic hanger.
On the way home, I dropped by the pharmacy to buy a box of hair dye from Kolours. My roots were already showing, and I don’t have time to have it done professionally, so this will have to do. I dyed my hair chestnut brown tonight. It came out okay, which is a relief.
I also took him for a haircut, since he hasn’t had one in over two months. My brother is really ticklish, and it’s normal for the customers to receive a backrub after having their hair cut. I couldn’t help but laugh when the barber started giving my brother his backrub, and he started squirming on his seat.
Lately, I’ve been thinking about the baptism of the Holy Spirit – and how I haven’t been baptized in the Holy Spirit yet. A fellow Christian friend and I discussed it briefly through Yahoo! Messenger last night. It’s been on my mind for a while now.
