A few months ago, my mom got started on her flower and vegetable garden. My mom has been rather successful. We’ve been able to grow corn, tomatoes, eggplant, lettuce, winged beans, mint, lagundi and an assortment of other vegetables and herbs. She’ll probably end up planting touch of class hosta soon.
This, in turn, has encouraged me to make a few changes to my diet. I really don’t need to lose any weight – if anything, I think I need to gain some. I currently weigh 95 lbs. and stand around 5’3″ tall (or short
). Blame it on my thyroid condition.
I’ve noticed, lately, that I tire easily. So I’m going to lay off the junk food and go on a cleansing diet for the next 7 days to flush out the toxins from my body. My brother bought me a bottle of apple cider vinegar this afternoon. I’m going to live on rice and vegetables for the next few days. It shouldn’t be too hard, since I’ll be eating veggies from my mom’s garden.
I’m a little apprehensive about the apple cider vinegar. I opened the bottle and it doesn’t smell very pleasant. But I suppose it’ll be fine when diluted in water.
Wish me luck! I’ve enlisted the help of my mother and a good friend to keep an eye on me, so I don’t yield to temptation.
Also, looking back, I’m finally accomplishing something in this list, which I – to be honest – have totally forgotten about.
