Midnight

It’s midnight, and I just got home. I’m tired, but very happy. Let me list the happy things that happened during the past 24 hours:

  • I was able to catch up with friends I haven’t seen in almost five years. These people were my kids’ church classmates, and it’s amazing to see how we’ve all grown up.
  • One of those friends is now a pastor, and is a pretty good one if I may say so.
  • While on the way to the youth service where I caught up with aforementioned friends, we stopped by a convenience store for ice cream (my insistence). In that convenience store, near light fixtures, I found a clear yellow (yellow!) umbrella, which I bought right away. Squee!
  • Wimbledon. Novak Djokovic. Need I say more?
  • Life is good. Life is very very good.
  • My friends are always awesome. And even though they annoy the crap out of me most of the time, I still love ‘em. ♥

Diventare is turning a year old in a few days, and I’m looking forward to it. I think I’ve gotten back to normal, but only time will tell. Maybe I just need to be in a good mood to be able to blog properly. :)

Still feeling a little sad about Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson, though. :(

I am tired. :D

I am really really tired. I haven’t been sleeping well lately, because I’ve been attacked by a sudden bout of insomnia. I usually don’t fall asleep until 3-4AM now. Hopefully my sleeping habits will improve soon, or else I’ll have to get some of the best eye cream out there.

I just got home from church and my small group. I really like how I’m being more active in church now. Being closer to other people of the same faith has brought to light some of the problems in my attitude, and I’m working on those problems now.

My church is turning 25 years old soon and I’m looking forward to it. This event is going to be such a big deal. I’m going to reserve my small group’s tickets first thing tomorrow so we can get good seats.

Anyway. I’m off to bed. :)

Brainstorming and changes

I spent most of last night making sure that my bedroom was cat proof. My parents have finally allowed me to let my cat sleep in my bedroom, mostly because of a rodent problem (for some reason, there’s a lone rodent running around our house and we’re having trouble exterminating it) which resulted in my older brother having anti-tetanus shots and a bandaged index finger. My brother should have listened when he was little and my grandmother told him that rodents find ways to take revenge.

So my room now has a litter box, a cat blanket, and I have to make sure that the curtains (lace) are always drawn, or else they’ll be destroyed. Having my cat in my room is actually fun, though. He knows he’s not allowed on the bed, and stays on his blanket.

Something I neglected to mention the past few weeks is that I’ve switched churches. Adjusting is a little difficult, but I think the switch is for the better. It’s a little hard making new friends, though. I had been with our former church for about three years until we decided to switch, so the meeting new people at church part is a little unfamiliar to me now. I’m optimistic, though – for a change. I’ve signed up for a small group, so I’m pretty sure I’ll start making more friends soon.

On a lighter note, a friend of mine has asked for my help in assembling her modeling portfolio. She wants me to shoot photos for her portfolio. I’m not very familiar with portrait photography, but I’m grabbing the opportunity and I’m enlisting the help of other friends such as Kendrick. Currently thinking of concepts for the shoot, but not anything related to the most effective diet pill. I’m still ironing out the details, but I’m looking forward to it.

Catching up on sleep

I just got home from a send-off party for one of my friends. She’s flying to New York tomorrow night, so we threw a party for her tonight. Jeremiah and I had to leave early, though since we needed to catch up on sleep. It was fun, although I was a little sad, since I won’t be seeing this friend for a long time. :(

As you can see, I have a new layout up. That cat was created in Adobe Illustrator out of a sketch I made during Holy Week (I was bored, what can I say). I was too lazy to scan the sketch so I taped it on my CPU so I could copy it. I hope you guys like it. :D

On an unrelated note, I finally bought a 500GB internal hard drive for my desktop computer. My computer currently runs on 80gigs and I’ve been completely dependent on burning files on DVDs for the past few months so I could be able to free up space on my hard drive. I just need to get SATA cables and SATA power cables and I’ll be all set.

Anyway, follow me on Twitter if you haven’t yet. I update that more often, hee. :) Now I’m going to sleep and dream about planting Plum trees.

20 on the 20th.

I ended up breaking one of the “resolutions” I made at the beginning of the year. I had my first drunken moment of 2009 two days ago, at Chantal’s birthday bash. The culprit? Tequila and brandy, though I was fine until I started downing the brandy. The tequila came first. I was so wasted, I kept saying that 1+1+2 is equal to 3.

Anyway… tomorrow’s my 20th birthday, hence the title. I don’t really know what to write. I feel rather strange, turning 20 when I still feel 18 years old. :D It seems like I don’t want to turn a year older, to the extent that I even forgot about my birthday – until my father reminded me.

I’ll probably be too busy to blog tomorrow. So here’s my lame birthday entry, and a picture of me at three years old. Call my toll free number if you need me.
