I’m about a few months too late, but I can’t say I’m happy hearing the news about a remake of the 1964 musical My Fair Lady, being in the works. And that Keira Knightley is being considered to portray Eliza Doolittle.

I was less thrilled when I found out that George Clooney and Brad Pitt are fighting over the role of Henry Higgins – and Brad Pitt wants Angelina Jolie to play Eliza Doolittle.
It just doesn’t hold any appeal. Perhaps I’m being too quick to judge, but I can’t see Keira Knightley or Angelina Jolie surpassing Audrey Hepburn’s performance. I can’t even think of anyone who would be suitable to play Professor Henry Higgins. I sure as hell wouldn’t choose Clooney or Pitt. The film just seems too iconic and already perfect the way it is, that a remake would just probably ruin the story.
…Of course, that’s just my opinion.
Oh, look. This is my last post for the month of October.
